Here are the 10 reasons listed by the 'Times of India' to watch this film and you can guess whether the film will be a blockbuster  or a hit!

1. It has Rajinikanth in the lead role. And Rajni is King! You just can’t miss his movies. Ace actors like him do film in two years, and it’s been some time since we were treated to something from him. Rajni has also written the story of 'Sultan'.

2. While it’ll be interesting to see Rajinikanth play the role of an emperor , Vijayalakshmi plays the baddie’s role. She’s the Queen, but a negative character, and that, I think, should be interesting.


Will Sultan become box office blockbuster?

3. ‘Sultan’ is being directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter, Soundarya. It’s her directorial debut and people have great expectations from her, just because she’s a chip of the old block. She’s an intelligent woman, and it’s likely that she has made a brilliant film.

4. The movie is an animated film - a novel concept in Indian cinema, and it's the first time that superstar Rajinikanth will be seen as an animated caricature. The animation work has been carried out in Soundarya’s animation studio Ocher Studios in Chennai. In association with Warner Bros. there’s little doubt that any stone will be left unturned.


5. The costumes of 'Sultan' have been designed by Soundarya herself. And the actions scenes are going to be simply crazy. The action scenes of the film have been shot extensively in Vietnam! Rajni's dialogues, stunts and actions will be a knock-out, I'm sure.

6. Music by Rahman: The soundtrack of ‘Sultan’ is being composed by AR Rahman. The music director has done some brilliant work in the past. The combination of Rahman and Rajni can't go wrong. Rahman has composed all five tracks in the film. So besides being a visual treat, the movie promises some great music too!


7. The movie, it is said, has been made on a budget of Rs. 700 million ! And is expected to generate a profit of at least 2.50 billion.

8. The film is touted to be released in 12-18 different languages , that way the movie will have a wider reach.


9. In an interview I read somewhere that Soundarya took her father to Belgium to get his body scanned for Sultan. I assume it was to get the perfect proportions and measurements. That's the extent to which Soundarya has gone to get this one 'right'.

10. Though people say that the movie will release in December this year, some insist that it'll see light of day only on December 12, which happens to be King Rajni's birthday! If that's the case, what a celebration this one is going to be!
