June 14 9.00 pm was the first day first show in malaysia in 5 theatres, PJ state lotus, Colesium, Damansara cineplex and sentul cineplex.  I managed to
get tickets for the first day first show through my fren in lotus in PJ state. Good news is, this is rajini sir's 0 tamil movie and i managed to get tickets.

We all went  early, and started our coverage. I gave a briefing to our group members who came and explained about our group and our activity. Than with the help of pal and yogz, we started the video coverage, We managed to interview the public on their opinion on sivaji and thalaivar. Annother good news, one of our
group members who took my invitaion and joined us did have a fren who is a Rajini sir look alike. We did invite him and he came in the baasha get up. We did a coverage on him and the few of us including me took photos with him.

Almost around 9pm, trouble started. Movie  reel did not arrive from Tamil Nadu on time and movie is delayed. By that time, the public had already known that we are from fan club and were expecting us to
talk to the theartre people, which we did. They promised to start the show at .30pm. Everyone waited and at .30 they announced 9pm show is cancelled due to unavoidable situation.

That is where me and two other important members in our group who assisted me a lot went into the office and had a very long discussion with them. It was me, pal and yogz. The reel only arrived at 12 midnight. We pressured them to open their second hall and show both the 9pm and 12am show  simultaneously. At last they did. This is when the public was seen thanking us. Its a joint effort by me and the two others.

KERALA

Rajnikanth and his Sivaji were released in a record 86 screens spread across Kerala, with 26 cities having multiple screens. This is the first time a film is released in Kerala with such grandeur, not even the films of Mammootty or Mohanlal, the reigning superstars of Malayalam cinema ever had such a wide release. The highest so far has been Mohanlal's Thandavam and Chandrotsavam which were released in 64 centres each, and the fate of both were washouts in the second week.

Palakkad witnessed  great showoff, with caparisoned elephants carrying the print to the theatre  yesterday with a rally of 1500 fans .The first show of the film in the state happened  here, with show starting at 4.30 am, in the first theatre 'Aroma  and 5.00 in the second, in the early hours, today.

In the capital  city of Thiruvananthapuram, a Tamil stronghold and Mohanlal's home town, Sivaji becomes the first film to release in four screens-`New`, `Sreekumar` Sreevishakh  and `Kairali` with a combined seating capacity of approximately 3900seats per show. The film is having 17 shows in the capital city itself. Recently Vijay;s Pokkiri has created history by completing 0 days in a big capacity theatres in the capital city.

At Ernakulam, the highest collecting centre in the state it is releasing in two huge screens- `Shenoys` and `Padma` with a seating capacity of 2300 per show.

In Malabar area, the citadel of Mammootty for the first time a film is releasing in 30 screens including three in Kozhikode- `Apsara`, `Ganga` and `Radha`. And to the greatest surprises, the Sivaji holocaust has virtually killed the star films that continued in many centres. Almost all the prints, except two or three, of Big B and Chotta Mumbai were removed from A class centres, atleast for a week to accommodate the big brother from Tollywood.

For the first time in the state, the show rates of the film were hiked for a few days with special consent from the state government. The initial response of the first show audience predicts the film to be the biggest ever hit in the Indian film history. As the film has driven his fans into a frenzy state, the processions with cutouts followed after the first shows in various centres.

HYDRABAD

சூப்பர்ஸ்டார் ரஜினி நடித்துள்ள சிவாஜி படம் ஆந்திரா முழுவதும் ரீலிஸ் செய்யப்பட்டது. இரட்டை நகரங்களான ஐதராபாத், செகந்திராபாத்தில் 40 தியேட்டர்கள் உட்பட மாநிலம் முழுவதும் மொத்தம் 350 தியேட்டர்களில் சிவாஜி படம் திரையிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

படத்துக்கான டிக்கெட்டுகள் அனைத்தும் 15 நாட்களுக்கு முன்பே விற்று தீர்ந்து விட்டன. "டப்' செய்யப்பட்ட படம் ஒன்று 270 பிரின்ட்கள் எடுக்கப்பட்டு திரையிடப்படுவது ஆந்திர வரலாற்றில் இது தான் முதல் முறை.

அதே போல், அதிகமான தியேட்டர்களில் திரையிடப்பட்டுள்ளது என்று ஆந்திர மாநிலத்தில் இப்படத்திற்கான உரிமையை வாங்கியுள்ள பெல்லமகொண்டா சுரேஷ் தெரிவித்தார்.

சிவாஜி படம் ஆந்திராவில் 14 கோடிக்கு விற்பனை ஆகியுள்ளது என்று சினிமா தொழில் வட்டாரங்கள் தெரிவித்தன.

 ரஜினி நடித்து 2005ம் ஆண்டு வெளிவந்த சந்திரமுகி திரைப்படம் ஆந்திராவில் பெரும் வெற்றியை குவித்தது. அதற்கு முன்பும் தெலுங்கில் "டப்' செய்யப்பட்ட ரஜினி படங்கள் வசூலை வாரி குவித்துள்ளது.

UNITED KINGDOM

First tamil movie in UK released in so many theatres. Ayngaran released the movie (14 theatres in UK, London – 8 theatres). It’s a sweet surprise to know that the number of shows has been increased in cine world Feltham & Ilford & couple of other theatres.

When i went to Feltham cine world on 14th evening for the 6pm show (thalaivar padam 1st day 1st shownna summava) the complex was fully packed & all I could hear around there was just 3 words 1) Rajini 2) Rajini & 3)Rajini. & no words to express my feelings when I saw the display in the ticket counter SIVAJI – & 12A (the rating which means 12 years& above can watch the movie) & there was a flashing of a word FULL. I have not seen a Tamil movie running houseful; yes there was an exception which was Chandramukhi. I just managed to reach the theatre on time & could hear the whistle sound & SSss chanting all over the hall.

I was astonished to see quiet a few couples with their kids (not more than 6 or7 years old).

The movie started & must appreciate director Shankar for not testing our patience by delaying SS’s entry on the screen. The moment he appeared guys… believe me the screaming, whistles & thalaivaaaaaa sound; am sure the theatre staffs have been wondering ‘what’s on the earth happening over here’!!!!

From that time till the movie ends, I was asking to myself ‘If London is facing this response, how it will be in Tamilnadu!!?? Chumma bhoomi adhirummla!

The show finished @ 09:20pm; came out of the hall quickly grabbed a popcorn & a coke & stand in the LONG queue again for the 09:30pm show. While I was buying coke; I did asked the staff there have u ever seen such a crowd for any other movies? or even any other Indian movies ever able to display the ‘House Full’ board. That person is an asian & said to me ‘Brother yes couple of movies have met what you mentioned now. But I must admit I have never seen such a response for any other movie. I don’t understand this language but by seeing the crowd I feel like I want to watch this movie. Hows it!! ??. Next day after I finished my work at 11PM, took a bus & reached the theatre for my 3rd darshan. Thanks to a friend who watched the movie for the 2nd time because he booked the ticket for me & again it’s a houseful show. Even today {16/6} reports came from friends that all the shows from 6pm till the 11:30pm shows were houseful.

Well guys… I must admit after waiting for soooo long & the hype created by the media. This movie is a PUKKA RAJINI movie; well Shankar is the director of this movie.

Never seen SS as fresh as this in any movies & big hats off to Shankar for breaking the typical rajini looks. Oru koodai sunlight & Adhiradikkaran songs will be remembered for a looooong time. Also must admit Shankar have done an excellent job in extracting the skills from SS.

I couldn’t believe after being such a powerful actor in the industry for more than 25 years; SS doesn’t have any ego; a must to be learned by the so called YOUNG generation actors. Which actor will be mentioning other actors name (apart from today’s actors mentioning SS’s name & MGR’s name).

1) Rajni saying ‘My complexion will be as like kamalhaasan’.

2) Dancing for a Vijay’s number.

3) Literally imitating Vadivelu’s famous dialogues.

From Chandramukhi I could feel that SS wants to come out of his traditional movies & successfully he is achieving it.

In short SIVAJI – THE BOSS for sure is a hit for the mass! & proves again that why rajini is the boss of box office.

Few Amazing things I heard & saw during this time.

• Our group’s member (www.rajinifans.com) watched the FDFS at Ilford; he mentioned to me that two ‘English women’ were passing comments during the movie ‘first half of the movie is typical rajini comedy & the 2nd half is totally different’. Also while I was watching for the third time on 15th night show; I saw 3 English women in the theatre. It’s very true Language is not a barrier not only in love; but for a RAJINI’s movie as well!

• Also couple of fans were asking for tickets in black for the 3rd day show!!! Sathiyama it’s in London!
