Superstar Rajnikanth has created record for Indian film premieres in USA when his latest film Kabali collected around 2 million dollars for Tamil and Telugu languages together. Despite generating a negative talk, Kabali has managed to collect a gross of over 4 million dollars in the first weekend in North America. The distributor CineGalaxy and all the exhibitors are in profits now.

Kabali has opened in the 6th position on Thursday premieres and settled in the 9th position by weekend in the top 10 USA box office grossers of the week. The surprising thing is that Kabali has generated per location average of $17,083 by releasing in 240 locations whereas the number one Hollywood film this week Star Trek Beyond released by Paramount has generated a per location average of $15,173.
