Underlining the important role played by the judiciary in nation-building, Superstar Rajinikanth on Saturday said, “If politicians become wrong-doers, there is still hope for redemption. If the citizens go wrong, recovery is possible. But if the judiciary goes wrong, there will be no hope for the country. The people of this country depend on the judiciary in which they have complete faith.”
The actor was participating in a function organised to release a commemorative stamp in honour of former Supreme Court Judge of India P S Kailasam on the occasion of his 100 birth anniversary.
Receiving the first stamp from the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court Sanjay Kishen Kaul, the actor paid glowing tributes to both Justice Kailasam and his wife Soundara Kailasam.
“Soundara Kailasam was someone who was deeply spiritual. I would often discuss about spirituality with her and was always amazed at her understanding of the subject. I once asked her how she knew so much to which she replied that she had learnt it all from her husband, Kailasam, whom she considered her guru. If Soundara Kailasam herself was an expert on the subject, imagine how well versed Kailasam, who was her guru, must have been with the subject,” he said.
