Thalaivar Expresses Concern Over Youth Drifting from Indian Culture
(Friday, 30th May 2025)
Thalaivar Rajinikanth has voiced concern over the growing disconnect between Indian youth and the country's cultural and spiritual heritage. Speaking via video call at an event in Chennai organized by his wife Latha Rajinikanth, the superstar remarked on the increasing influence of Western culture among the younger generation.
“In today’s mobile-driven world, many young people—and even some older ones—are unaware of the rich traditions and spiritual legacy of our nation,” Rajinikanth said. “Without truly understanding the pride and depth of our culture, they are blindly following Western trends.”
He observed a striking contrast: while Indian youth are moving away from their roots, many Westerners are turning to India in search of peace, purpose, and fulfillment.
“They aren’t finding lasting happiness in their own cultures. But when they look to India, they discover peace through meditation, yoga, and living in harmony with nature,” he explained.
Rajinikanth also took the opportunity to commend Latha Rajinikanth for her ongoing work to promote Indian heritage and spirituality.
“Latha is doing great work in creating awareness about our culture. I pray that, with God’s blessings, her efforts continue to grow and succeed,” he added.
His message serves as a timely reminder of the value of preserving India’s age-old traditions, especially in a rapidly globalizing world.
