Rajinikanth & Vijayakanth: A rare scene!
(Thursday, 30th October 2008)

Many of us thought that Rajini considers Vijayakanth as his arch rival in the past. Media also projected some happenings between the two in the same angle. But it was not like that. In fact (to the best of our knowledge!), Rajini never gives that ‘status’ to any one in Kollywood.

If someone praises him he simply hears the same with a typical smile. If someone blasted even in front of him, he just keeps his face artless (remember the Hogenakkal hunger strike) and avoids to develop the issue further. That is the nature of Super Star.

Many of us don’t know a fact about Vijaykanth’s past life. According to Vijaykanth’s autobiography (published in Kungumam sometime in 2004), He was a die hard Rajini fan when he was managing his own rice mill in Madurai. At one stage he joined in a local Rajini fan club too and functioned with dedication. According to Vijaykanth, with the inspiration of Rajini only he came to Chennai and started his life as an actor and add a suffix ‘Kanth’ with his original name Vijay Raj.

After his continuous flops in the early stages, Rajini suggested AVM to cast him as the Villain in Murattukaalai, but Vijaykanth declined the offer and sticking on his decision. But the superstar never minds any of these happenings. He always respects his co stars and other heroes in the field and praised their performance open heartedly whenever he got the chance. On many occasions our superstar greeted Vijaykanth for his performance. Particularly after seen the movies like Senthoorapoove and Paattukku Oru Thalaivan, Rajini praised Vijaykanth as ‘one of the talented actors of Tamil cinema!’

During the Singapore star night show, Vijayakanth hailed Rajini as a fantastic, ego less human being and he has ever seen such a personality in the film industry!

Above is a visual witness to show our Thalaivar's simple, down to earth nature and how he treats his co stars in the industry!
