Superstar Rajinikanth announces Thalaivar 169 with Nelson in style

Sun Pictures on Thursday announced that it will bankroll Rajinikanth’s next project, tentatively titled Thalaivar 169, which will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. yot

A teaser was released to announce the commencement of the project and it has garnered more than 2 million views on YouTube.

The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be announced. However, it has been confirmed that Anirudh Ravichander will compose music.

It will be the first time Rajinikanth will join hands with Nelson, who rose to fame with films such as Kolamaavu Kokila (2018) and Doctor (2021). He currently awaits the release of the Vijay- starrer Beast.

Interestingly, Beast is also being produced by Sun Picture and it is eyeing a 14 April release in cinemas.

Rajinikanth was last seen in Annaatthe, directed by Siva, who had collaborated with the star for the first time.
