April 29/2011 : "RANA" movie's Pooja and associated events :

It was the traditional dream house for those who enter cinema - The AVM set !!!

Myself and few other devotees were waiting for Thalaivar's Dharshan . There came the Super Star like a Sun !!

Dressed in White and White traditional dhoti attire with sacred viboothi on his forehead, he made us awestruck with his dharshan and we went crazy.

The slogans of Thalaivaaaaa were echoing all over AVM sets and in return he waved off his hands in his own style - with both the hands above the head in a vanakkam style !!!

Then he took his time for his makeup for the  movie shoot, but to a shocking surprise for his fans, he was looking dull, which is a rarest of rarest phenomena.

The evening of that day was a complete shocker for us. The news channels were filled with a news that Rajinikanth was admitted in Isabella Hospital due to Food poison.

Tensions aggravated when CM Mr. Karunanithi, Andhra CM Mr. Chandrababu Naidu, Veteran Journalist Cho and other important leaders visited him in personal.

However he was discharged the same day and things began to settle down to normal.

The Worst Phase : May 2nd and 3rd weeks :

He was again admitted in the same hospital the very third day he returned. Though Thalaivar insisted that staying in hospital would cause trouble to the hospital as well as to his fans due to fans gathering outside the hospital, he was compromised to get admitted until his VIRAL FEVER gets cured.

This was more than enough for rumors to be set on fire !!!

And to add fuel to the fire, his health deteriorated gradually !!!

The circular from hospital were stating that he had respiratory infection, problem in his respiratory tract and kidney disorder. His fans, from uneducated to educated, rich to poor became restless and were unable to focus on their daily activities. 

Even those who haven't prayed for themselves, stayed in Temples,Church and Mosques and prayed out of their life !!!

And then on May 13, he was shifted to Ramachandra Hospital.

Some of the third class creatures spread a rumor that he has died and it would be announced once the election results (2011 TN Assembly) are out. This spread faster than light and every fan was broken into pieces .

All those jealous creatures were trying to pour out all their poison in their rumors. Since his photo or any other consoling details weren't disclosed neither by his family nor the hospital, fans were rally disheartened and everyone was in their peak of emotional burst !!!

However, there was a slight positive hope as cinema starts and political leaders continuously visited the hospital and gave a positive note in their interview.

However, the maximum wish of each fan was to just see his Demi God's face at least once. The literally refused to move from the hospital campus. They waited on corridor and slept on streets and all they wanted was one.....only one positive news !!! 

Those who can't understand this love might wonder why we love him unconditionally !!! Apart from an Actor, he is a father, brother, uncle, mama and God !!! He is just one of our family member without his name in our Ration Card !!!

As days moved in there came another shocker...! It was decided to take him to Singapore Mount Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment !!!

May 28 / 2011 :

Tension arose all over TN and his fans were so restless. Understanding their feelings, Thalaivar's family recorded his speech and released a 1 and half minute audio...

No, that shouldn't have happened. That was the worst punishment for us....

Rajinikanth who is known for his roaring laughter and commanding voice, was speaking in a broken voice. Tears flowed from every fans eyes and even his haters wished that he should return with full health.

That night, he was carried in ambulance and his fans, who saw him walking as speed as a bullet were unable to believe that he is travelling in ambulance !!!

There was only one hope. Rajinikanth himself said that he will definitely return soon !! Yes, he is Rajinikanth. He can do anything !!!

June 2011 to July 12, 2011 :

He was given higher order of treatment. However, TN wasn't stable. It felt like a vacuum and it was like as if we are living without oxygen. Yes, Thalaivar is our oxygen.

There were Yagas and rituals held all over TN and daily life wasn't normal. There wasn't any communal or religious divide. Hindus shaved their head for Velankani madha, and Christians walked for Thirupati. All for one man !!!

It was really tough days for all the fans and no one wants that situation never ever in their life.... Never Ever...

Then the date came !!! It was officially announced that Thalaivar will return on July 13 !!! It marked the end of all the rumors and it was the happy wave that swept entire TN !!!

Everyone...... Literally everyone were ready to welcome the KING !!!

July 13 :

Everyone from each nook and corner of TN arrived to the airport on July 13. It was informed that he will land at 9.30 PM. However the traffic jam started from morning itself !!!

It was a tough job for traffic police, however they did their best for a smooth day. The entire way from Airport to his resident was completely filled with his banners and cutouts and there was a huge plan to welcome him.

By evening, it was all set for a fiery welcome with Horse Chariots, Drums, Crackers, Dancers and thousands and thousands of Fans. 

It wasn't an Airport atmosphere over there it was just like a first day first show of an Rajinikanth Movie . Yes !!! My Thalaivar is going to give his Dharshan after a long long wait.

It was really a huge task for police to maintain the law and order and at the same time to maintain the security of him. For security reasons, the gate number thru which he is about to arrive was not revealed. Indeed they handled some tricks to reduce the crowd like spreading a false info about the gate number. However that went in vain. People are more smart than you think. They had arrived at the right place at the right time !!!

From Local channels to National media, everyone were assembled there !!! The chants of Thalaivaa Thalaivaa were hearing all around. All eyes are waiting for that one scene. One Person, One smile. The Vibration was too too high over there !! yes , it was an Electrifying Moment !!!

Finally, the time has arrived. It was sharp 9.40 PM. he special bus has arrived !! The door opened.

A man..... A old man.....just touched death and returned....white hairs, un shaved beard with specs.....

But he had a divine smile, the same magnetic eyes and obviously yes, the fast walk...... Done and Dusted !!!! That was the moment we were waiting for all these days... The fans on the buildings, trees and airport were on peak of their emotions.

And then he waved his hands towards the crowd and kept his Trademark VANAKKAM above his head !!!!

That's the moment..... Whole crowd busted into tears and the mantra of THALAIVAAAA filled the atmosphere....

YES...... RAJINIKANTH HAS KEPT HIS WORDS......

Naan Seeikram Vandhudaren Kannaa ( I will be back soon Dears) was his words before he went to Singapore...

And apart from 1000's of movie dialogues, that's the Favorite Thalaivar's Punch for me !!!
